If the alleged plot to attack airliners flying from London is true* - remember the lies that led to the invasion of Iraq, and to the raid on a "terrorist cell" in east London - then one person ultimately is to blame, as he was on 7 July last year.* They were Blair's bombs then; who doesn't believe that 52 Londoners would be alive today had the Prime Minister refused to join Bush in his piratical attack on Iraq? A parliamentary committee has said as much, as have MI5, the Foreign Office, Chatham House and the polls.

A senior Metropolitan Police officer, Paul Stephenson, claims the Heathrow plot "was intended to be mass murder on an unimaginable scale". The most reliable independent surveys put civilian deaths in Iraq, as a result of the invasion by Bush and Blair, above 100,000. The difference between the Heathrow scare and Iraq is that mass murder on an unimaginable scale has actually happened in Iraq.

BLAIR IS A MAJOR PRIMA FACIE WAR CRIMINAL

By any measure of international law, from Nuremberg to the Geneva accords, Blair is a major prima facie war criminal. The charges against him grow. The latest is his collusion with the Israeli state in its deliberate, criminal attacks on civilians. While Lebanese children were being buried beneath Israeli bombs, he refused to condemn their killers or even to call on them to desist. That a ceasefire was negotiated owed nothing to him, except its disgraceful delay.

Not only is it clear that Blair knew about Israel's plans but he alluded approvingly to the ultimate goal: an attack on Iran. Read his neurotic speech in Los Angeles, in which he described an "arc of extremism", stretching from Hezbollah to Iran. He gave not a hint of the arc of injustice and lawlessness of Israel's occupation of Palestine and its devastation of Lebanon. Neither did he attempt to counter the bigotry now directed at all Arabs by the west and by the racist regime in Tel Aviv. His references to "values" are code for a crusade against Islam.

Blair's extremism, like Bush's, is rooted in the righteous violence of rampant Messianic power. It is completely at odds with modern, multi cultural, secular Britain. He shames this society. Not so much distrusted these days as reviled, he endangers and betrays us in his vassal's affair with the religious fanatic in Washington and the Biblo-ethnic cleansers in Israel.

Unlike him, the Israelis at least are honest. "We must use terror, assassination, intimidation, land confiscation and the cutting of all social services to rid the Galilee of its Arab population," said Israel's founding prime minister, David Ben-Gurion. Half a century later, Ariel Sharon said, "It is the duty of Israeli leaders to explain to public opinion . . . that there can be no Zionism, colonisation or Jewish state without the eviction of the Arabs and the expropriation of their lands."

The current prime minister, Ehud Olmert, told the US Congress: "I believe in our people's eternal and historic right to this entire land [his emphasis]."

BLAIR HAS BACKED THIS BARBARISM ENTHUSIASTICALLY.

In 2001, the Israeli press disclosed that he had secretly given the "green light" to Sharon's bloody invasion of the West Bank, whose advance plans he was shown. Palestine, Iraq, Leba non - is it any wonder the attacks of 7 July and this month's Heathrow scare happened? The CIA calls this "blowback". On 12 August, the Guardian published an editorial ("The challenge for us all"), which waffled about how "a significant number of young people have been alienated from the [Muslim] culture", but spent not a word on how Blair's Middle East disaster was the source of their alienation. A polite pretence is always preferred in describing British policy, elevating "misguided" and "inappropriate" and suppressing criminal behaviour.

Go into Muslim areas and you will be struck by a fear reminiscent of the anti-Semitic nightmare of the Jews in the 1930s, and by an anger generated almost entirely by "a perceived double standard in the foreign policy of western governments", as the Home Office admits.

This is felt deeply by many young Asians who, far from being "alienated from their culture", believe they are defending it.

How much longer are we all prepared to put up with the threat to our security coming from Downing Street?

Or do we wait for the "unimaginable"?

From The Wilderness  (Michael C. Ruppert) - Caracas, August 16, 2006,  It was about a week before I left the United States forever that I watched Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. tell Charlie Rose something all of us already know in our hearts. “Today,” he said, “the United States is hated around the world far worse than it was at the height of the Vietnam War.”

I REMEMBER THE VIETNAM WAR ... I WILL NEVER FORGET IT.

I opposed that war, and I still remember riots on the UCLA campus in May,1970 when four students were shot dead by National Guard troops at Kent State University in Ohio. I was a college student then, and I was 2S-deferred for the draft. A year later I would be re-classified 1A as the nation shifted to a lottery system. At least someone in my country was willing to risk his life in the face of injustice. It gave me hope.

That kind of risk-taking was commonplace then, from the civil rights movement to the anti-war movement, to the American Indian Movement. American blood was shed regularly on American soil to resist American tyranny; from Watts, to Detroit, to Selma, to San Francisco to Memphis to Wounded Knee. It fertilized our lives and souls as it touched the ground. The willingness to endure physical suffering, material sacrifice, and jail for the sake of justice was a singular mark of the American character that earned respect as it infected the world.

What is the United States infecting the world with today?

Now it seems the American people won’t even risk their credit ratings, student loans, the next piece of ass, or a sideways glance from people who look at them like AIDS patients for daring to deviate from the corporate, media-instilled norm. We have come a long way backward. Rodney King’s “Can’t we all just get along” has become the modern day theme song for the surrender of America’s character, and the L.A. Rebellion of 1992 was probably the last flame of will to fight injustice in American history.

This new quiescence comes at a time when US crimes are far worse and more far-reaching than they were in 1970; certainly in the eyes of the world. In 2001 the US government both facilitated and executed the attacks of 9/11 against its own people, killing thousands of its citizens as an excuse to launch a neo-imperial conquest for energy. A few Americans held small rallies, organized some ineffective groups, bought a few hundred thousand books and DVDs, listened to a few radio programs and lectures, and then quietly lined up to have their bags, emails, credit histories, minds and bodies searched. Critical mass was never achieved as Executive Orders along with the Patriot and Homeland Security Acts shredded the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th Amendments to our Bill of Rights.

In my book Crossing the Rubicon I wrote that events that took place in the five years following those attacks would determine the course of human history for centuries to come.

Concerning your question: my colleague's name is Louis Sévèke, and he was 41 years old when he was shot, 300 meters from where this is written. According to eyewitnesses the assassin was a professional. Sévèke researched police and secret services and also wrote a quite revealing book about it. He published an article on Dutch 'state terror' - asking 'the state' to be more open about their covert actions. Two weeks later - on November 15th 2005 - he was dead.

Next Tuesday - August 22, 2006 - the police and the special 'Sévèke murder squad' organize a belated 'reconstruction' - nine months after the shooting. The police 'managers' cover it up like some 'Keystone cops', and annoyed police officers are leaving. The latest police chief went yesterday. The rest is silence.

Hardly anybody in Holland wants/cares/dares to look into it, but someone's got to do it. And I do not accept this totalitarian behavior. Louis can't - like the others before him - just disappear in the 'Memory Hole'.

A senior police officer - Floris Tas - who is a teacher/instructor at a Dutch 'Police academy' - was forbidden to take part as a monitor of the 'police investigation'. He had been asked by the Sévèke family to do so. Tas was also forbidden to take part in a TV debate on this with a brother of the killed journalist: otherwise he would be fired from his job at the police school, the pimps of power said. He'll try and take them to court for this.

What have 'they' done to the people in the US and many in the world? Are really the 'crazies' running our world as their clinic? It's madness!

Another American journalist whom I've known since he and some others slept on my floor 40 years ago, in Stockholm/Sweden - because more and more couldn't stand what they had to do in Vietnam - seems to have caved in.
